I am an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and hardworking FA Licensed football coach who is very adaptable, capable of working within diverse environments and implementing various methods in order to meet the needs of individual players. I have a genuine passion for youth development which is an area of coaching I continually strive to specialise in.
I am currently employed as the U15 Youth Development Phase Academy coach in the Category 1 academy at Southampton Football Club. I am responsible for the development of players within the U15 age group which consists of numerous international youth football players. Prior to this role I was employed as an academy coach at Queens Park Rangers. Whilst also working within category 1 & 2 Academy programmes, I have also held senior Academy management roles within Category 3 Academy environments in the role of Foundation Phase Lead Coach at Aldershot Town & Crawley Town Football Clubs respectively.
As such I have developed extensive practical coaching experience with regards to delivering a holistic approach to player development within elite professional football clubs including the use of sports science, sports psychology & performance analysis to aid player development. I have held Academy management roles where I have been responsible for overseeing the social & holistic development of players, implementing & managing an age appropriate, holistic development framework for young players. I also have experience with the PMA and other administrative responsibilities associated with the role such as planning & reviewing sessions, conducting players reviews & writing individual and collective/team reports. I am an effective communicator having effectively managed parents, players & staff whilst also fostering relationships with governing bodies such as the Football League, English FA and other local and professional football clubs.
I am a highly motivated and experienced, professional football coach who is a meticulous planner and extremely well organised. I take pride in my professional standards, thrive under pressure, strive for perfection and I can work collaboratively as part of a team, or on an individual basis as the role requires.
