Carla Jackson profile photo

CARLA JACKSON

Carla Jackson grew up playing football in Scotland, where she starred for the likes of Motherwell FC Women, Spartans FC Women, and Celtic FC Women. As a skilled, talented, and determined football player with a lifelong love of the game, Carla was delighted to be given the opportunity to be a part of Scotland’s youth national teams in various age groups.

After experiencing several serious injuries, Carla started looking for ways to continue her work within football in a different capacity. Carla’s desire to share her knowledge and experience with aspiring footballers pushed her to pursue a career in coaching. With a clear career path in mind, Carla began preparing to search for a coaching role that would allow her to mentor and develop young footballers who would benefit from learning, playing, and growing under her care.

Preparing To Search For A Job In Football

Alongside her impressive footballing career, Carla holds a Master’s degree in Business and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. Carla had the qualifications, skills, and experience she needed to succeed as a coach — but to find a role in the bustling football job market, she knew she needed a CV that would showcase her abilities and help her stand out from the crowd. Carla explained:

“In the past, I was coached by Piero (Football Careers’ Managing Director) at Celtic FC and I was always impressed with his professionalism and dedication to helping others in football. I decided to reach out to Football Careers in 2021 after I graduated to kickstart the process of creating a professional CV that would help me in my job search.”

Creating A Job-Winning FOOTBALL CV

Following a consultation with Carla to find out more about her experience and aspirations, Football Careers began working on a graphically designed CV that would highlight her achievements and succinctly convey all of the qualities Carla would bring to a coaching role. Carla commented:

“The full CV creation process was excellent. The Football Careers team was very time-efficient and responsive whenever I had any questions. They were always available to help and I feel they really look out for the best interests of their clients.”

After working with Carla to fine-tune the details, Football Careers produced a graphically designed CV that would serve to help Carla break into the football job market in America:

“I could not be happier with the final product. The attention to detail displayed on my CV is what helped me quickly receive job opportunities in the US. The overall look is clean and professional — it really helps me stand out, and it has been mentioned in several job interviews I attended.”

Securing Roles With A Football Careers CV

Equipped with her Football Careers CV, Carla has secured two full-time coaching roles in America. The first opportunity came with Liverpool FC International Academy SoCal in California, and the second came with Mass City FC in Boston. Most recently, Carla joined the University of New Haven in Connecticut as a Graduate Assistant:

“My Football Careers CV has played a huge role in my success in America. I would 100% recommend this service to other football professionals. The job board allows football professionals to gain access to roles around the world: it’s incredibly useful for coaches who are looking for domestic or international opportunities. Football Careers also provides interview tips and cover letter ideas, which are of paramount importance when applying for jobs. Football Careers is a great resource for anyone looking for a job in football.”
