An innovative new football recruitment company, Football Careers Ltd, has launched in Glasgow, bringing together two of football’s most experienced recruitment professionals. The two principals are Piero Carrino and Stewart Macgregor, both well-known figures in professional football.

Carrino, who is Managing Director of global business Sport Careers Agency Ltd, has an already impressive client base including professional organisations such as the LMA, The PFA, FAI, and FAW Trust. Macgregor, of player representation agency Ark Sport, has over 20 years of experience in professional sports recruitment. The new company will be standalone from the two existing businesses.

Football Careers aims to support professionals from grassroots to backroom staff and board level with a range of recruitment services and self-marketing tools. The aim is to bring together their skill-sets in the new business, creating a new type of end-to-end recruitment offering.

Concentrating solely on the football market will allow Football Careers to be the leading go-to agency for both individuals and clubs alike. Another significant focus to the business will be to provide in-depth career support and guidance to players retiring and looking to transition into a role within football or the corporate world.

Recruitment support will be the primary offering whereby the agency will be sourcing, screening and presenting a shortlist of candidates for key roles in clubs. Secondly, a comprehensive job board will be updated frequently with the latest vacancies from around the world, allowing candidates to receive alerts or browse through listings.
