Account Manager (Riyadh)

The role

Sportlight is a leading sports tech company providing patented, military-grade technology to professional sports organisations. This role is to join Sportlight as our customer account manager, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to support our customer with the adoption and development of the Sportlight product, facilitating product maximisation and maintaining relationships.

The successful candidate will furthermore have a proven track record and expert knowledge of Sport Science or Performance practices, experience in a commercial setting and will be comfortable working with statistical datasets and the in-house data science team. As the role is based in Riyadh, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and organisational skills to help support delivery of the multi-year contract.

The role is well suited to someone with a passion for sport and technology, who is ambitious and can support our goals of revolutionising sports analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional support to our clients in elite football.
• Facilitate maximum client engagement and support with the Sportlight product
• Work closely with the client and Sportlight team to support the injury risk analysis, mitigation strategies and statistical data collection
• Assist in the development of a revolutionary sports technology and identify opportunities for further product development and understanding

Essential

• Familiarity with player tracking systems and ideally experience of using these at an elite level working with professional teams
• Expert knowledge of Sport Science practice in football and comfortable discussing advanced metrics and insights
• Comfortable discussing statistical analysis, working with data scientists and presenting to customers and club practitioners
• Previous experience in a commercial focused role
• Excellent communication skills (English language)

Desirable

• An established network within professional sporting organisations
• Experience with Sports Technology beyond EPTS systems
• Understanding of bio-mechanics or experience working with 3D/POSE data collection or validation
• Ability to speak Arabic is preferable but not mandatory

This role is based in Riyadh with occasional travel to the UK to be agreed. Sportlight will consider reasonable relocation expenses and support with visa applications as required.
