Everton is a workplace people crave to join, where extraordinary talented people belong, thrive and deliver the remarkable
Everton Football Club is one of world sport’s most respected and revered names – a by-word for innovation and professionalism during the course of a glittering history that spans three centuries.
One of the 12 founder members of the Football League, Everton has played more games in English football’s topflight than any other club.
While rightly proud of our rich past, and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium currently being constructed on the banks of the iconic River Mersey.
In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our men’s, women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and compete at the highest level of the game.
Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city and across the world of football, and how we look after one another and our community. They provide a framework for how we work and engage with partners, suppliers and, most importantly, our fans.
For decades, our Club has been one of the most respected and renowned in football. Our vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for Everton’s Men’s First Team, or having a career in the professional game, remains as focused as ever.
We now have an extremely exciting new opportunity for a Senior European Scout to join the team, leading our coverage across the critical regions of Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
Within the role, you would work closely with our Head of Recruitment and Senior Manager of Scouting Operations to identify top-talent in the regions, whilst leading on the assessment of players of interest and providing reports to the management team that will aid in recruitment decisions.
This role is critical in achieving comprehensive coverage across the regions, it is essential that the postholder has expert knowledge of the leagues, and the players within, maintaining and updating this knowledge whilst within the role.
You will build and maintain positive and productive relationships, not only across the Everton Family but also externally, to ensure we are able to recruit the very best players.
If you feel you are the person we are looking for, someone who would be able to support our drive towards discovering players and evolving the Talent ID strategy, then we would love to hear from you!
The role is permanent and will involve local working; you will be expected to perform comprehensive travel within this post to ensure sufficient coverage of the designated regions. You will also be required to attend our Finch Farm training ground, in Liverpool (Halewood), as requested; to participate in team meetings. The contracted weekly hours, within this post, are 40 hours per week.
The closing date of this advert is Friday 16th August 2024.
