The role

Football Careers is delighted to, on behalf of our client The LMA, bring to the market the newly created position of Senior Learning Manager. The LMA Institute Senior Learning Manager, will play an important role within the LMA team, contributing to the achievement of The LMA’s aims and objectives, whilst being based at the excellent St Georges Park. An excellent blend of both education and commercial strategy, this position will give you a lot of satisfaction and a very diverse, and enjoyable job description.

The Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivery of LMA qualifications including the LMA Diploma in Football Management and the Postgraduate Award in Strategic Leadership
  • Overall design and delivery responsibility for LMA Institute CPD events, including Masterclasses, Webinars and Performance Visits
  • Oversee the delivery of the LMA’s new short courses: Perform, Lead, Coach and Mentor
  • Deliver and support the LMA Institute range of content products
  • Oversee the full calendar of events for the LMA Institute of Leadership & High Performance
  • Work closely with the LMA Commercial team on defining, marketing and delivering the Institute’s commercial offering including designing bespoke programmes for LMA Commercial Partners
  • Work across additional LMA projects where required
  • Support and become an integral part of the LMA team and all its activities
  • Manage the day-to-day direction of the LMA Institute including budgets, brand and visibility to members and the game

The Person

  • Experience of working in talent and performance in elite level sport or professional football and / or experience of working in talent and people development in non-sport businesses
  • Significant experience in delivering adult learning programmes, talent development programmes and personal development support
  • Experience of online learning and online programme delivery

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent level qualification) in Sport Science or relevant personal development / psychology fields
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects from inception to completion and prioritising workloads
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Significant organisational and processes skills
  • Creativity and a passion for ongoing improvement
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
