SoCal Reds provides young players with an opportunity to develop their soccer and sports skills, under the guidance of professional coaching staff while learning key life skills centered on the four values of the SoCal Reds DNA: Ambition, Commitment, Dignity and Unity.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design and deliver progressive sessions to boys and girls aged 3 through 14
• Ensure sessions are challenging and focus on individual development.
• Deliver match day preparations, including team selections & warm ups.
• Identify and recruit talented players to help build teams capable of competing at U8-U12 age divisions in competitive club soccer.
• Lead coaching sessions in Junior & Mini Reds clinics and camps.
• Deliver engagement and after school programs and other such community outreach programs.
• Deliver basic sessions in sports including cricket, badminton and tennis.
• Work a coach mentoring program
• Complete daily administrative, marketing and operational tasks across all programs.
• This may include phone calls and responding to parent questions.
• Help with the smooth running of daily operations.
• Work as part of a team to organize equipment, apparel, uniforms, fields (including set up).
• Provide weekly email to teams
• Attend weekly meetings at the office.
• Duties may take place in both an office environment as well as outside on the field.
• Set up, manage and tear down practice and game day field(s).

Role of a SoCal Reds coach:

• Set high standards of professionalism and demonstrate a high standard of conduct, thus providing a good role model for young players.
• Supervise and be responsible for a group of young players at all times during practices and game days, ensuring the safety of all as your first priority.
• Demonstrate both management and communication skills to players, parents, team managers, colleagues and community partners
• Set clear expectations to parents on appropriate sideline behavior before, during and after games.
• Promote SoCal Reds and our programs at all times.
• Be punctual at all times.
• Remain professional, representing SoCal Reds during tournaments, practices and games
• Be willing to assist when necessary, in programs outside the current designated program.

Terms and Conditions:

• Coaching placement/role will start August 2025 or February 2026
• Non US based coaches are paid by CAS who also handle visa process

Applicants must

• Be 21 or older
• Possess a recognized coaching certificate on course of study
• Hold a valid driver license
• Be able to attend an orientation event – various dates in 2025
• Be a degree program graduate or currently studying (remotely) OR
• Be enrolling on a remote degree and wish to study and work abroad or have a gap year OR
• Have 5 years of demonstrable sports or business related experience

Other information

• Access to a vehicle and shared room in a house is provided
• Visa Application Fee & Flight to the US is not included
• Prior to entry into the US, applicants are required to have personal medical insurance (part of Visa)
• Upon arrival – US Club Soccer compliant (online coaching license, fingerprinting and safeguarding).
• Adhere to, and sign, a code of conduct.
• Approx # hours per week (32)
