About The Club

Carolina Velocity is the fastest-growing youth soccer club in the Triangle, North Carolina. Carolina Velocity FC offers a unique soccer pathway for players in NC. Full-time professional coaches will work closely with our detailed syllabus to allow for a strategic platform focusing on producing technically astute and tactically aware soccer players.

The Position

The Carolina Velocity Academy Coach is a full-time position. She/He is an integral part of the Carolina Velocity FC soccer staff, focusing on all aspects of the club and coaching philosophy. She/He will oversee the development phase, coaching, and administrative duties within the teams/program. The ideal candidate is a professional, passionate and enthusiastic coach that will focus on creating a positive learning environment and a desire to learn and grow professionally. She/He reports directly to the Director of Soccer.

Job requirements

• Minimum FA Level 2 (or equivalent), UEFA B Licence (desirable)
• Prior coaching experience required working with and developing young players
• Ability to follow Carolina Velocity Coaching Framework
• Ability to interact positively with youth soccer players, parents, and other staff
• Communicate effectively in person, via email/phone with professional timeliness
• Ability to use video technology to support coach and player development
• Coaching badges or previous playing experience preferred
• Capable of handling administrative tasks and computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Oversee team assignments
• Manage rosters during the season concerning training/games and tournaments
• Work in close conjunction with Carolina Velocity staff coaches
• Ability to design, lead and implement age-appropriate training sessions
• Ability to use video analysis to aid the player and team development
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Soccer
• Monday – Friday on field hours typically amounting to 15 hours (3 hrs / daily)
• Weekend hours dependent on varying schedules (games, travel, events, etc.)
• Support fellow coaches with planning and executing sessions
