Jack Ross named Head of Football Strategy at Newcastle United
The former Hibernian and Sunderland manager will help to develop a consistent sporting philosophy across the club as part of his remit, and will also oversee the loan player and emerging talent strategy. Ross first joined Newcastle United in 2023 as Head of Coach Development for its Academy, before moving to the position of Head of Strategic Technical Football Partnerships.
Paul Nash becomes Development Phase Lead (U13-15) at New York Red Bulls
Nash has a wealth of experience across football in America, having supported the development of Academy players through his previous positions with Chicago Fire and Philadelphia Union. Before moving to the USA, Nash worked with Glasgow club Rangers, coaching young players as well as the senior women’s team.
Colin Stewart joins Liverpool as Goalkeeper Development & Pathway Lead
Stewart takes up his new role with Premier League champions Liverpool after nine years with Rangers in Glasgow. He will support Xavi Valero, who is back at Liverpool as Head of First-Team Goalkeeper Coaching, and will work with the Reds’ senior stoppers on and off the pitch.
Frazer Robertson lands Assistant Coach role at FC DAC 1904
The UEFA Pro Licence holder leaves his position as First-Team Coach at Standard de Liège to take up an exciting new opportunity in Slovakia’s top flight. Robertson has wide-ranging experience, having worked with Philadelphia Union in the USA, Right to Dream in Ghana, and St Mirren and the Scottish FA in his home country.
Mason Mcclelland becomes U19 Coach at Al Jazira Club
Most recently U18s Manager at Swansea City, Mcclelland now returns to the UAE to work with Al Jazira in the UAE Pro League. He previously spent seven years with Dubai City FC, serving as head coach of the first team and Technical Manager to the wider club programme. Mclelland has also held roles in Gibraltar and a variety of Academy setups in England.
