Football Careers Client News Round-up
- Barry Robson hired as Raith Rovers Manager
- Andy Mitchell appointed First Team Coach at Derry; Darren Way appointed as manager at Bath
Football Careers are delighted to announce that Andy Mitchell has been appointed First Team Coach at Derry City. Mitchell had previously been part of the backroom staff at Larne. When asked about his move to the League of Ireland club, he said…
“Tiernan signed me as a player and then brought me into his backroom team at Larne and I have really enjoyed working alongside him and Seamus. They are relentless in everything they do; no stone is left unturned, and they will get the best out of this football club- no doubt about it.”
Barry Robson has been appointed as manager of Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers. Robson had a glittering playing career that saw him play for clubs such as Celtic and Aberdeen – who he later went on to manage. He is replacing new Sacramento Republic manager Neil Collins in the dugout. When asked about his new position, Robson stated…
“It’s a great honour and I’m truly excited about the challenge ahead,”
Robson took charge of Aberdeen on both a permanent and temporary basis, and once led the club to seven consecutive wins in a time of turbulence.
We are also delighted to see client Darren Way become Manager at Bath City. Way joins the National League South team as they sit seventeenth in the table. He has experience in League Two, having managed Yeovil Town, securing safety with the club and winning Manager of the Month on two occasions back in 2016.
Football Careers are delighted for all three clients and believe these are perfect opportunities for each of them. We’re excited to see what the future brings for Mitchell, Way, and Robson.
