John Carver appointed Head Coach of Radomiak Radom
- Carver most recently managed Polish Ekstraklasa league rivals Lechia Gdańsk
- Before returning to club football, Carver served as Scotland national team Assistant Manager for five years
Football Careers is delighted to see client John Carver named head coach of Radomiak Radom. The Polish side currently sits 14th in the Ekstraklasa.
Carver was most recently in charge of Ekstraklasa rivals Lechia Gdańsk. He joined in November 2024, with Gdańsk in second-last place in the league. In Carver’s first season as Head Coach, he led the club to survival despite a transfer ban, winning him the Ekstraklasa Coach of the Season award.
Before returning to club football, Carver was Steve Clarke’s assistant manager within Scotland’s national team for five years, contributing to one of the most successful footballing periods for the country.
Carver has held permanent managerial roles with AC Omonoia Nicosia in Cyprus, Newcastle United FC in the Premier League, and Toronto FC in the MLS. He has also served as interim manager for Sheffield United FC and Leeds United FC.
Despite being just nine games into their campaign, Carver is Radiomak Radom’s third manager of the season. The club will be looking to his experience, especially in Gdańsk, to steer them to safety. They currently sit two points clear of the relegation zone.
Carver’s first game in charge will be a six-pointer against Motor Lublin, who occupy the final relegation place.
Everyone at Football Careers is excited to see John take on this new challenge, and we’ll be following his journey in Poland closely.
