John McGlynn’s Falkirk win the Scottish Championship
- The title was secured on the final day of the season, with a 3-1 win against Hamilton
- It sees McGlynn's side return to the top division of Scottish football for the first time since 2009-10

Football Careers is delighted to see client John McGlynn lead Falkirk to a Scottish Championship title. The Bairns will now return to Scotland’s top flight for the first time since 2009-10.
Falkirk — who were only promoted from League One last summer — blew away their competition in the early stages of the season, taking to the Championship with ease.
Despite a strong end to the season from Livingston to challenge for the one guaranteed promotion spot, Falkirk sealed first place on the final day of the season, defeating Hamilton 3-1 at home.
McGlynn’s side is built on exciting, attacking football, and that is reflected by the number of goals they scored this season. Their 72 goals in 36 games totalled 15 more than the next best attack in the division, powered by attacker Calvin Miller and returning legend Scott Arfield.
John has been in charge of Falkirk since 2022, previously managing at Raith Rovers, Heart of Midlothian, and Livingston. He has gone on to become a legend at the Bairns, with an undefeated season in League One and now back-to-back promotions.
Next season in the Scottish Premiership, Falkirk will face off with sides such as Celtic, Rangers, and Aberdeen.
Football Careers is excited to see what comes next for John McGlynn’s Falkirk, and wait in anticipation to see them in the top division next season.
