Jon Connolly Appointed Goalkeeping Coach at Queen of the South
- Connolly was previously First Team Goalkeeper Coach at Annan Athletic
- Queen of the South finished seventh in League One last season
Jon Connolly has been appointed Goalkeeping Coach at Queen of the South. Football Careers client Jon joins the Dumfries-based club having previously been First Team Goalkeeper Coach at Scottish League One side Annan Athletic.
Jon is an extremely talented goalkeeping coach with a UEFA Goalkeeping Coach Licence. He joins Queen of the South after a campaign that saw them cement their League One status, finishing well above the automatic relegation place and avoiding the relegation play-off.
He is coming into a club that will be looking to improve for the 2024/25 season. The Doonhamers have found themselves in Scotland’s third tier since 2022/23 after relegation from the Championship – where they spent nine years. Jon is joining the club alongside manager Peter Murphy, who was also with him at Annan Athletic.
We’re extremely excited by Jon’s appointment and wish him and Queen of the South the best of luck for next season.
