Mark Sertori Appointed Director of Performance at AS Roma
- Mark spent 14 years as Manchester City's First Team Sports Therapist
- He was most recently Head of Performance and Player/Medical Care at Burnley
We’re delighted for Football Careers client Mark Sertori, who has been appointed as Director of Performance at Serie A club AS Roma. Mark brings a wealth of experience and skills to the role, which he started in August.
He had most recently been at Burnley, where he was Head of Performance and Player/Medical Care – spending over a year at the Lancashire club. Before then he spent fourteen years at Manchester City as First Team Sports Therapist, which saw him oversee the planning and implementation of various sports therapy procedures, managing the Sports Therapy department and contribute to the smooth transition of cultural change within the club, amongst many more responsibilities.
His work at the ten-time Premier League champions was held in incredibly high regard, with Pep Guardiola saying:
“I’ve worked with Mark for a number of years at Man City, he has helped me and my staff cement with everyone, to develop the correct cultural atmosphere, so that the team thrives on trying to win. He is organised and works in a good medical team.”
Mark also holds a number of licences and certifications, including the FA Learning Emergency Aid certification and Freedom from Pain Institute Diploma.
His experience and expertise make him the perfect fit for Roma and his new role, and we wish Mark and his new club all the best in the future.
