Mason Mcclelland Named as First Team Manager at Bruno’s Magpies
- Mclelland has been at Bruno's Magpies since June as Assistant Head Coach
- He previously held the First Team Manager position at Dubai City Football Club

Football Careers are happy to announce that client Mason Mcclelland has been appointed as First Team Manager at Gibraltar side Football Club Bruno’s Magpies. He’s been at the club since June of this year, where he had been Assistant Head Coach.
Mason brings a wealth of experience to the role, in both youth and senior men’s football. His most previous role before moving to Bruno’s Magpies was at Dubai City Football Club, where he spent almost five years as First Team Head Coach.
His career in coaching started back in 2011, where he took on the role as Under 14’s Academy Coach at Accrington Stanley. He then moved on to do the same role at Bury, before moving on to Bolton Wanderers. His eight years at Bolton saw him work as both an Institute of Sport Head Football Coach and Under 13’s Academy Head Coach at different times. Mason also spent eighteen months at Fleetwood Town as a Youth Development Phase Manager and Under 18’s Assistant Coach.
This move sees him step back into management, this time in Gibraltar. Bruno’s Magpies – who are famously formed by a group of friends who named the club after a bar in the country – currently sit in fourth in the Gibraltar National League. However, the table is tight, and they sit just seven points behind first-place St Joseph’s. Mason will be tasked with bettering the third-place finish of last season.
Mason’s experience, skillset and determination make him the perfect fit for this role. He believes that he can develop skilled, confident, creative and independent people that work well within a team setting and knowing him we echo that. Football in Gibraltar is on the rise, with clubs starting to get exposure with the introduction of things like the UEFA Conference League. We wish Mason and Bruno’s Magpies all the best in the coming seasons.
