Football Careers are delighted to announce that client Paul Decle has been appointed Technical Director of the British Virgin Islands. Paul brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Caribbean nation.
Paul was most recently at the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association for almost seven years, where he held a number of roles. During his time in Trinidad and Tobago he was Head Coach of their National Futsal Team, a Coach Educator and Coordinator for the Grassroots Program in West Trinidad, as well as FIFA TDS Coordinator for youth elite girls and boys U13-U16.
Before then he founded Pro Series Events – in Trinidad and Tobago. This was the premier organiser for pro soccer experiences in the country, looking to develop the sport. He also holds a number of licences and certifications, including his UEFA A Diploma from the Irish Football Association, TTFA A Licence from the Trinidad & Tobago Football Association and his FIFA Futsal Coaches Certificate.
Paul comes into a country whose men’s side is currently ranked 207th in the world, and women’s side ranked at 186th. It is a nation, however, on an upward trajectory. The men’s side advanced beyond the first round of FIFA World Cup qualifying for the first time in their history at the beginning of the qualification process for the 2026 edition in the United States, Mexico and Canada. They were drawn in a group with Guatemala, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Dominica as a result of this.
When asked about his new role, Paul stated:
“I am delighted to accept the role as TD for the BVI FA. Its a role that comes with a lot of responsibility having to oversee the football landscape in a country and I look forward to working across the territory to help the country fulfill its potential in all areas”
Paul’s experience and knowledge of football in the region, as well as his work ethic and professional attitude make him the perfect candidate for this role and we’re thrilled to see him become Technical Director of the British Virgin Islands. We look forward to seeing what he can achieve with this up and coming football nation.
