Radhi Jaidi Helps Cercle Brugge Qualify for the Europa League
- Jaidi has been Assistant Football Coach at the Belgian club since October 2022.
- Cercle Brugge have not played in UEFA Competition since the 2010-11 season.
Football Careers client Radhi Jaidi and his Cercle Brugge side have qualified for the 2024-25 UEFA Europa League. Jaidi has been Assistant Football Coach at the Belgian club since October 2022.
The Brugges based side – nicknamed Groen en Zwart (Green and Black) – finished fourth in the Belgian Pro League, level on points with Genk (who also qualified for the same competition) and four points ahead of sixth placed Royal Antwerp.
This was a considerable improvement for a side that finished the 2022-23 season in eighth place and didn’t qualify for European football. Striker Kevin Denkey played a huge role in securing the club their first participation in UEFA competition since the 2020-11 season, where they were knocked out in qualification by Anorthosis Famagusta.
We’re extremely proud of the improvement and achievement of Radhi Jaidi and his side, led by manager Miron Muslic. Radhi will now be moving on to new opportunities and we wish him all the best in whatever the future brings.
