Long-term Football Careers client Stevie Grieve has been appointed manager of Helsingborgs IF. The Swedish club currently plays in the Superetten, the second tier of football in the country.
Grieve was most recently manager of SJK Seinäjoki, who compete in Finland’s top division. He joined Seinäjoki in December 2023, having previously been in charge of the club’s reserve side (SJK Akatemia).
Grieve has been highly successful in Finland, leading Seinäjoki to a place in the league’s Championship round and winning the Veikkausliiga Manager of the Month award in April 2025.
Before moving to Scandinavia, Grieve held a number of roles in India, North America, and the United Kingdom. He worked as Head of Coaching at Burlington Youth Soccer Club in Canada, Head of Analysis and Opposition Scouting at Dundee United, Head of Recruitment at hometown club St Johnstone, and Head of Performance and Recruitment at Forest Green Rovers in England.
Helsingborgs IF finished seventh in the Superettan this season, fifteen points outside the promotion places. With a record of eleven wins, eight draws, and eleven defeats, the club has turned to a skilled coach with lots of experience in Grieve.
Helsingborgs were most recently in the top tier of Swedish football in 2022, but have not spent consecutive seasons in the Allsvenskan since the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Football Careers is excited to continue supporting Stevie as his career flourishes. We wish him and Helsingborgs success in the coming seasons.
