Jack Hadley named Head of Goalkeeping at Cavalry FC
- Following a comprehensive headhunt by Football Careers, Hadley has joined the Canadian Premier League club in a key position
Football Careers is delighted to announce that Jack Hadley has been appointed Head of Goalkeeping at Canadian Premier League club Cavalry FC.
We were retained by Cavalry FC to find the right candidate for this key position. The club sought a coach with technical and development expertise, in alignment with its philosophy and long-term objectives.
Football Careers conducted a targeted search across Canada and internationally, delivering a strong shortlist within two weeks. Following an in-depth interview process, Jack was selected for the role after proving he had the experience, approach, and knowledge that the club was looking for in its new Head of Goalkeeping.
Jack began his coaching career in 2014, working within Chelsea FC’s development centre programme. He has continued coaching with the club on a contractual basis over the years, assisting Academy goalkeepers of various ages in reaching their potential.
In 2016, Jack — who holds a UEFA Goalkeeping A Diploma — moved to Chipstead FC to take up a role as Head Goalkeeping Coach. After three years with the club, he joined Asmir Begovic Goalkeeping Academy as Head Goalkeeper Coach, where he spent four years delivering bespoke programmes to budding keepers.
Jack was then appointed First-Team Goalkeeping Coach at Aldershot Town FC in 2023, before being named Head of Academy Goalkeeping at Charlton Athletic FC later that year.
Most recently, Jack served as Lead Academy Goalkeeping Coach at Queens Park Rangers FC, where he was instrumental in driving the development of the club’s U9 to U21 goalkeepers.
Reflecting on his appointment at Cavalry FC, Jack said:
“I have recently moved to Canada to become Head of Goalkeeping and First Team Goalkeeper Coach at Cavalry FC. The move was made possible by working very closely with the team at Football Careers.
“They were fantastic at preparing me for all stages of the interview process, keeping me updated throughout, negotiating my contract, and assisting with the logistics of my move to Canada.
“I can’t thank them enough for their help, guidance, and expert understanding of the industry, as well as their personal skills when helping my family and me make the move. I will definitely be using Football Careers throughout the rest of my career.”
Tofarati Fakunle, Assistant General Manager at Cavalry FC, said:
“Football Careers managed the Head of Goalkeeping search process for us at Cavalry FC with real professionalism and clarity throughout. They took the time to properly understand our environment, culture, and long-term objectives, and consistently delivered candidates of a very high calibre. The process was well managed from start to finish, with clear communication and strong market insight at every stage.
“We are delighted with the final appointment and feel Football Careers played a key role in helping us secure the right individual for the role. They proved to be a trusted and effective recruitment partner, and we would have no hesitation in working with them again.”
Jack began his role on 4 May. With the 2026 Canadian Premier League season underway, we’re looking forward to seeing what Jack achieves with Cavalry FC. We wish him and the club the very best for the coming years.
