Youngest ever football coach in a professional academy in Portugal, I started when I was only 15 years old, coaching at SL Benfica, assisting with pre-competitive elite sides. Quickly gaining the trust of the technical coordinator, Professor António Fonte Santa, I went on, in the space of just 2 years, to work as both a head and an assistant coach for the academy, taking part in the development of many current Portuguese youth level internationals (2016 U17 UEFA European Champions), as well as winning a plethora of trophies and accolades for the club, including two 7-aside World Champion titles in 2009 and 2010 in the "Mundialito" in Algarve, Portugal (v FC Barcelona [6-0]; v Valência FC [3-2]).
Described in my SL Benfica recommendation letter as "one of the most talented and
resourceful coaches of the next generation" and also " one of the greatest hopes in football
training", I’m an innovative, dynamic and extremely driven coach, passionate and willing to make the difference in the industry. I’ve proven my worth in SL Benfica, the academy awarded the prize of Best Football Academy in 2015 at the Globe Soccer Awards, both domestically and internationally (Benfica Zhejiang-China project), and feel now that it is time to further my development and impact outside of the home that taught me so much, by facing new challenges abroad.
