As Head Coach-Abu Dhabi you will manage the Pay to Play Manchester City Football School in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Purpose

  • To manage the Manchester City Football School in Abu Dhabi, UAE
  • To manage and support the development of the coaching team.
  • To work to financial targets and report monthly on progress.
  • To support the wider MENA and Global football coaching programs.

Your Impact

  • Will ensure all the Manchester City coaching philosophy, methodology and principles are incorporated into the delivery of the program
  • To effectively communicate with all key stakeholders including players, families, colleagues and partners will ensure best in class at all times
  • Your planning and delivery of the annual calendar in cooperation with all key stakeholders will ensure fluid operations
  • In creating relationships with key organisations of whom the program will encounter will boost the experience for all
  • In strategic thinking will allow growth in participation as well as identify new opportunities
  • To provide a competitive games program both locally and Internationally will ensure player development is at the core of the program
  • To work towards commercial targets and share updates and reports on progress
  • Having communication at the forefront of your management will provide clear updates for all stakeholders

What we are looking for

Essential

  • To have over 5 years within a Head Coach or Senior Coach role
  • To have experience implementing and developing a football coaching syllabus internationally
  • To have experience in managing a team over 5 or more people
  • To understand player pathways and the development process of players
  • To have experience working with players from varying backgrounds and cultures
  • To have experience in working with international players of different ages from different ability levels
  • The ability to create a positive working environment that represents Manchester City
  • UEFA B License (Level 3)
  • FA Youth coaching award or education in football development
  • To have flexibility to travel when required to support projects
  • To communicate in a variety of settings such as informal, formal, individual or groups
  • The ability to lead, communicate and develop relationships with players, coaches, parents and Key Business stakeholders.
  • To have the ability to manage, develop and mentor individual coaches that are part of a team.

Desirable

  • To have the ability to plan, organise, and develop different types of football programs including trips & tours
  • To adapt in different coaching environments when delivering
  • To demonstrate experience in working with and without translators in delivery of sessions
  • To have experience in developing players of varying ages and abilities including reviewing and evaluating individuals
  • To have some experience working with a variety of levels in players including adults
  • Higher Education in Sports, Coaching or Teaching
  • Coach Education Award or equivalent Teaching assessment Qualifications
  • Sports Education or management equivalent Qualification Essential
  • Member of a governing FA
  • Ability to understand and implement your own development plan
  • To have the ability to work individually and part of a team
