Head of Soccer Academy

The role

Football Careers is delighted to be working in retained partnership with Celtic Football Club to recruit a Head of Soccer Academy.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the Club’s Soccer Academy
department. This is a very important and strategic position aimed at aiding the successful delivery of the
business strategy, club partnerships and football activity both in Scotland and abroad.

Duties & Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and ensure first class delivery for the Club’s e-learning platform and curriculum, attendance and delivery at international coaching conventions
• Manage, facilitate, and run overseas coaching camps, team tours and international tournaments
• Manage strategic stakeholder relationships with international clubs and partners
• Design, implement and where necessary amend the business development strategy
• Prepare, manage, and take responsibility for strategic business targets and budgets
• Identify new business opportunities and formalise commercial partnerships
• Lead a team to achieving strategic business and budget targets

The Person

• The successful candidate will already possess, and not be working towards a UEFA A Licence or above.
• You will have experience of working in a professional environment and a proven track record of delivering high level coach education, both pitch based and online, to large groups and individuals.
• You will also be passionate about creating new and solidifying existing relationships and partnerships across the globe.
• Having the ability and personality to lead and work with a team and the wider club is essential, as is your ability to influence and drive performance.
• This vacancy has an excellent balance between coaching and commercial duties, so being passionate about delivering sessions and working to targets is desired.
